Jackson Shines as Ravens Secure Fifth Straight Win

His all-around play powered the Ravens’ explosive offense, which amassed over 500 total yards. A key contributor to this offensive firepower was Derrick Henry, whose strong performance complemented Jackson’s efforts.

However, it’s not just his performance that’s drawing attention. Derrick Henry dominant performances in the AFC are sparking comparisons with Jackson, adding an intriguing element to the league’s top rushers.

Lamar Jackson’s stellar performance led the Baltimore Ravens to their fifth consecutive win, securing their spot atop the AFC North with a 5-2 record. His near-flawless game, with 17 of 22 passes completed for 281 yards and 52 yards gained from nine carries, was a sight to behold. Derrick Henry Dominates with Explosive Runs

Running back Derrick Henry had a standout game, bulldozing through Tampa Bay’s defense with several impressive runs. His highlight of the night was an electrifying 81-yard dash in the third quarter, setting up Baltimore’s fourth touchdown.

Derrick Henry powerful running style repeatedly shredded the Bucs’ defense, keeping the Ravens’ offense on the move and adding to the team’s dominance. His ability to break tackles and find open lanes made him a crucial asset in Baltimore’s victory.

Tampa Bay Hit by Major Injuries

Tampa Bay’s struggles were compounded by injuries to key receivers. Mike Evans left the game with a hamstring injury, while Chris Godwin suffered what appeared to be a serious lower leg injury in the final moments.

Godwin was carted off the field and initial reports suggest it may be a dislocated ankle, leaving his season in jeopardy. The absence of their top offensive players further exposed the Bucs’ defense, which couldn’t find an answer for Jackson or Derrick Henry.

    Ravens Rally After Slow Start

The Buccaneers jumped out to an early 10-0 lead after a 25-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield to Evans, followed by a field goal. However, the Ravens quickly responded in the second quarter, with Jackson leading a quick six-play, 70-yard drive capped by a touchdown pass to Mark Andrews.

A key interception by Marlon Humphrey set up another Baltimore score. Derrick Henry relentless rushing attack helped Baltimore control the game’s tempo, leading to their 17-10 advantage at halftime.

Late Tampa Bay Push Falls Short

Baltimore continued to dominate in the third quarter, scoring two more touchdowns to extend their lead to 34-10, with Derrick Henry playing a pivotal role in maintaining the Ravens’ offensive momentum.

Although Tampa Bay mounted a late rally with two fourth-quarter touchdowns to close the gap to 34-24, Derrick Henry’s contributions throughout the game ensured the Ravens’ lead was never seriously threatened. In another NFL game that night, the Arizona Cardinals edged out the Los Angeles Chargers 17-15, thanks to a last-second 32-yard field goal by Chad Ryland.
